Make My Day~Spring is in the air~

#PicFrame
I can't believe that its March already, the weather is warming up a little during the day but the nights are freezing. I know things have been seriously quiet here but I've been working on a few projects which have left me little time to create something for here. I however spent today having a super creative day so made these 4 greeting cards plus I'm taking part in a doodle a month which I made 2 doodles for today as I saw it too late last night. With that project I'm going to make doodled postcards and envelopes and will blog about them on my Burstsofbubbles blog, if you really like any of them just let me know as they will need a home to go to.

These cards are A5 size (a printer paper folded in half) and the paper you see in the background I turned into envelopes.

~Make My Day Birthday Bash 1~Garden of Eden Hoops~

When creating my greeting cards yesterday I came across these beautiful sheets of origami paper which I've had for a long time....
Hoops
Hoops
I liked them so much I didn't want to use them as it seems a shame to cover up the beautiful design but also the sheets are a lovely textured type. It suddenly came to my mind to use hoops to frame the sheets and to do nothing else with them. I've seen this done with really pretty fabric and it looks so nice hung on the wall. I hope that you agree that its the best way to use these.

If you would like these 5 hoops

Make My Day~It can't get cuter then this Envelopes~

Finally here I am with another little something for you... I did start this last week but never got to complete it until today... well I say complete but there are still a few things that I want to add to it. I will over the week but I wanted to post these today. I really wish I could get a set date for when I can create things still I'm sure the surprise is nice when I do.

I have a set of envelope templates which I've hardly used and want to use more of so I started by creating these floral/patterned envelopes from a pack of scrapbook papers I bought a couple of weeks ago.
Flowery Envelopes 001
I then cut out and backed these oh so adorable Toread characters, I fall in love with them all over again every time I create something with them.
Flowery Envelopes 002
So far I've created 7 envelopes but I still need to create 2 more for the last two remaining images because that rose one you see at the top in the first photo I couldn't bring to cover up. So lets see what I'll come up with there, all I know is that you'll get plain coloured envelopes.
Flowery Envelopes 005
I know the quality isn't great of my photos isn't great but unfortunately now that its getting darker earlier this will probably be what my photos will look like as I'm working during the day. Hopefully I've jazzed them up a little.

If you would like these super cute envelopes

Make My Day... In the Garden with Sarah Kay...

Today I really wanted to use my rubber stamps but when I sat down to use them my black ink was on its last legs but I thought it was just my rubber stamp that was being awkward so ruined a few projects which resulted in me giving up on that for now... I then remember that I wrote a letter this week and used my Sarah Kay stickers which a friend sent me (the same friend that sent me the album, Vera De Muis images and a million other items that you'll see me using from time to time). She has been so good to me and I appreciate it as I can make all these fun items with them.... The sticker left behind was the largest one and I was still thinking of how I'd use it.

I had no intention of making another greeting card but I did and here's what I came up with.....
Sarah Kay Greeting Card 002
I started with the background paper which I felt fitted in well with the polka dots and flowers in the sticker.

I then added the doyle as it fitted in so well with the background paper. I used my pro marker to colour it in but now I regret not using 2 different colours.... quite possibly the green and a brown. Oh well it still looks great. It felt like there was something missing so added the punched flower, gem and iron on ribbon (which I've stuck down with double sided tape)

I really love polka dots but don't have any paper with smaller dots on so I used my hole punch to create the dots across the top. I still had one small sticker left which I used on the back of the envelope... I try to waste as little as possible even projects gone wrong can be used in some way.
Sarah Kay Greeting Card 006
A final close up of the sticker which I just love the detail of but also the relaxed pose of this girl. I backed her on to white card and stuck her down with sticky foam.

Remember you can always make suggestion of themes you'd like me to create around. I am in the process of braining storming one idea, I just can't seem to find those items that my brain is thinking about but I'm sure it will fall into place when the time is right.

Anyway if you'd like this item

Make My Day...Delicious Delights of Vera De Muis...

On Tuesday I got up early to open the door to my sister for my niece, I was actually late coming down and it was funny to open the door to find my niece sitting on the door step like a parcel. She was quite happily chattering away to the cat whilst her mum went to the car to get her phone to ask one of us to open the door. As I had  about an hour before I actually went to work I decided to sit down and craft. It simple was the best thing to do as I felt so relaxed that day....
Strawberry Vera De Muis
I picked up the strawberry which someone I used to write to sent to me a long time ago. I really wanted to create something with it but I didn't know what so I just gathered the background paper and started stitching away. There was an envelope on my desk which I've wondered for some time what it was but never got around to opening it but I did for some reason that morning and was so happy to see my Vera De Muis images which a different friend sent me and I've had fun for years creating with. Well the strawberry cake fitted in so well and everything fell into place.
Garden Vera De Muis
As you know I can never stop by making one card so I made another which is Vera's garden wonderland... I used exactly the same type of things but in a different style.... background paper, buttons, stitching using my Fibre Art equipment and the strawberry/flower but most of all of course a picture of Vera.

If you like these 2 wonderful cards which will have handmade envelopes due to my insane mind making these bigger then A6...
