Make My Day ~Stamp Box~

Untitled
I wanted to try working with stamps so decided to decorate a box. I find it really hard to cover up all the pretty designs but I had to force myself to do it instead of trying to line them up neatly which I tried to do at first. So I've tried my best and I hope you like it enough to shout...

Make My Day ~Keep in Touch~

I'm wondering if I should turn this one into a notebook as I think it would look great but it mentions birthdays. Stamps are a gift from @paperedthoughts #stamps #wellingtonbear #postbox
This alphabet reminds me of shreddies #wellingtonbear #card #alphabet #typewriterUntitled
A couple of weeks ago I offered this Telephone Box but first I had intended on making some greeting cards so had put these images together. Since creating the box these images have been sitting on my desk getting in the way so today I finally decided to continue with my 'keeping it simple' in order not to completely drown everything out and create some cards. The card on these greeting cards is a glittery brown/bronze colour.

The first ones I just used some postage stamps that paperedthoughts had sent me as a thank you and I'd forgotten about until I started sorting through my pile of envelopes (I say pile but they are all put into a basket under my bed until I am ready to put them into my box of letters). This card is A5 size (a printer paper sheet folded in half), I actually really wanted to turn that one in to a slim notebook as I think it would look great but I don't know if any of you would like that considering on the postbox it says 'Birthday Collection' and one of the parcels says 'Happy Birthday' that's actually quite annoying as I don't really like words on my things unless they really fit in. So if you get this and would like a notebook let me know.

The others are also straight forward with the typewriter one having alphabet stickers on, I did think of using a more typewriter looking one but these Shredded Wheat ones add a little something to it. The last one I've used scrapbook paper with writing on and I've cut up washi tape to get the little stamps.

I think I'm doing well keeping it simple but I am itching to do something fussy so maybe next time :).

The writing paper below will be available also for another week so get shouting Make My Day in the comment sections.

Good Luck!
Words and I do not mix when crafting I don't know why #birthday #greetings #love #miss #words #time
These words will be included too.

Make My Day....Air Mail Postcard...

Firstly Welcome to all the new followers and I want to apologise for there being nothing to claim when you came by from swap- bot but  finally here I am with another opportunity to have your day made or someone elses... This week the sun has been shinning, the birds have been singing and I can't help but think of birds of all kinds so I decided that this was such a fantastic opportunity to get my creative juices flowing.

One of the bird images that I love is bird sitting on electricity cables, these are usually black silhouettes of birds but as black is a colour I don't have much of in my paper collection I decided to be bold and colourful as usual
Birds Birds Birds
I started by selecting my background paper, I then attempted to draw the birds myself but I just couldn't get the size of them right because they were either too small or two big. Thankfully my brain was working for once and I thought to use my rubberstamps of birds. I drew around the edge of the birds I wanted to use and stamped those on to paper and cut them out. I used black felt tip for the lines one this one...

and brown on this one... I choose the colour of the birds bassed on the colours I could see on the background paper. It needed a little something more so I used some postage stamp stickers around the edges. I finished it off with the postmark....

I did try decorating the backs of the postcards but it didn't look nice so I backed both the postcards on to coloured card which you can see a thin border around the edges of.

I had intended on making 4 of these but my sister turned up to go shopping so I only managed to make these 2 and decided I really need to post something as things have been too quiet here but life has been hectic with so much going on.

If you would like these postcards for yourself or a friend/family member
remember to shout
make my day
in the comment section so that I can tell the difference between who would like it
and who is leaving a comment

Here are some other things that I have made using these birds...
