I wanted to try working with stamps so decided to decorate a box. I find it really hard to cover up all the pretty designs but I had to force myself to do it instead of trying to line them up neatly which I tried to do at first. So I've tried my best and I hope you like it enough to shout...

Make My Day~Telephone Box~

This weekend I went to the supermarket and decided to check out the craft section in the store next to it... it is great having this store on my door step but also quite dangerous as I can't help but pop in to look and on occasions buy something. I saw this Wellington Bear Decoupage set and decided I loved the theme of it so bought it (I have been lusting after this bear and Boofle for some time but have never bought anything until now).

 

I was originally going to make greeting cards out of all the images which I actually started doing but then suddenly remembered that I had really wanted to alter a box so I pulled this box out....

and got to work creating this....

Its lovely and simple but it looks great don't you think? I thought this would look amazing as an address/phone box with indexed cards but of course you may have other ideas when seeing it.

 

By the way I have been having problems with items I post coming back to me and other such problems so I would appreciate people stopping by to let me know that they have received what I have sent (as most don't). Thanks in advance.

~Make My Day Birthday Bash 1~Pink and Gold Altered Box~

I had a giveaway on my other blog and needed a box for that item so I bought a set of 3 different sized boxes in this lovely brown... ok its not quite lovely but its great for me to alter in to something more attractive.

This is the smallest of the boxes and here is what I came up with....

Since its the start of the Chinese New Year I decided to think of something along the lines of it as last year I created a bookmark for the event. The pink paper has dragons on it (for the year of the dragon), I then added punched flowers, gems and this medallion peel off in layers. Its simple but I love it.

Inside the box I've added lots of used stamps for you to craft with or to decorate your letters... I'm sure you'll think of something.
