Make My Day...A Rubber Stampers Experiment...

A couple of weeks ago I went out and bought myself some Fimo to create with because a couple of years ago I received the most amazing Artistic Trading Card using it and a rubber stamp. Ever since I wanted to use Fimo in my crafts but never got around to it so when I saw a pack of 20 colours on sale in the craft store I couldn't resist buying it and giving it a try but I had to start small as its the first time I've used it.

So keep in mind its the first time I've used Fimo so don't expect something perfectly made as the edges are quite rough and badly cut but I didn't realise just how bad until I cooked it. I started by rolling out my Fimo, stamping on top of it and removing the edges I didn't want. I cooked it for 30 minutes on the lowest heat possible.

I've used yellow card, orange and red strips to create a slope effect in the background, red paper background paper for the Fimo image, green buttons and the flower.

Patterned paper backed on to card, white strip of paper to create the folding zig-zags, buttons and gold wire which I twisted on to a needle to create a spring..

You will be seeing more Fimo on this blog and I hope that you'll enjoy it. Even though its an ATC I don't want one in return but feel free to pass it on in trade for another.

Here are other things that I have created using the flowers above

  2. Thanks Anna. Fimo I'm guessing is the same as what they call polymer clay in the U.S.
