Make My Day~Secret Letter 1~Flowers, Lace and Parties~

Secret Letter
Here is another letter and this one it completely decorated by me and I had so much fun doing it. I don't know why but I've been thinking buntings and doyles lately and since Spring is in the air once again I thought this was the prefect theme to use.

Doesn't spring put a wonderful spring in your steps, like someone playing music in the background for you to dance to, the flowers are growing, the buntings coming out for weddings and parties but of course there are those little grey days too....  Well its how I feel anyway!

I have decorated an envelope as you can see but I won't be using it to post your letter as it won't fit! I can only fold the sheet in half but for some reason I never thought that would be a problem so I'm including that in with the letter and if I feel up to it I will make a new one otherwise you will except the oh so attractive brown envelope. Ah well its better then no envelope right?

Make My Day~Secret Letter 1~ Swirls and Curls~

Secret Letter
You're probably tired of seeing that same post about me asking you to e-mail your letters to me to get creative with and offer on here but finally after many hiccups with my laptop I was able to print them off and have some fun.

This one the owner of this letter created the paper themselves with the option of a blank one incase I wanted it to be entirely my work but nope I thought as this is your letter I should offer it as it is but with a little touch up from me, hopefully you don't feel I spoilt it. With the letters I received I would have loved to have been able to decorate the paper first and then printed on it but as I don't have microsoft word I had to print it first and then decorate as I couldn't arrange the way I wanted the words etc... to be. I also don't have the fonts that you used and I wanted to keep that as it reflects your personality.

You don't even need to guess that the distress ink touches are what I added, also I stamped and coloured the last image. The purple flower I'd actually coloured with the combination of purple and white but when it came to the last one I blindly coloured the wrong petal which resulted in me having to colour the whole thing. I used pro markers which are streak free but I personally find they bleed too much so I feel quite disappointed about that as I can't colour as freely as I'd hoped to. I also decorated the envelope which you can see the front and back of in the first two photos.

~Make My Day Birthday Bash 1~ I Love To Be Within Nature~

On Monday I went to a store near my house with a craft section and came across the Tulip Essential Range which I absolutely loved... I almost bought the mini version of these premade but they were small and not worth the price but I really liked them so in the end I decided to buy this set as my Forever Friends one was the same thing and it was definately worth the money.

It was a pain messing around with all the foam but I love how they turned out and almost gave them away without doing anything to them but I had to and this is what I came up with....

Tulip Cards
I've used origami paper as these images have such an oriental feel to them, ribbon, mulberry paper, gems and buttons. I had to keep it simple as they images are quite big and if I did more to it they would have been lost.

Make My Day~Recipe for Love~

Hearts and Lace
Apparently Love involves
Lacey Silk Underwear
Good Music
and Sparkle
so what better things to craft with!

I bought a new gadget yesterday so had to use it
(I'll be crafting about said gadget on my other blog tomorrow)
I cut two hearts out and stitched them on top of each other
which is an idea I've seen but never tried and I think it looks good.
What do you think?
I had to do something different with the ribbon so came up with
the rippling idea but I don't know if I like it...

Make My Day~ Forever Friends Bears~

I wanted to craft last night, I had so many ideas but didn't want to do them... in the end I was going through my box of images and came across these pre-cut decoupage images which you have to assemble yourself. The paper used in the background came with the images....

I decided to keep it simple and used
a pack of blank greeting cards with matching envelopes
plastic ribbons
buttons
Looking Good
This is the only card that I added flowers too as it felt like something was missing and the poor bear looked lonely instead of glamourous.
Umbrella Love

Picnik collage

Diamonds are forever
All of the rest of them only used what I listed above, I hope that it gives you a little inspiration in that you don't need tonnes of supplies to make some great cards. My Christmas cards were done in a similar way in that I limited myself in what I used. The images were definately a great buy for me but now the store that I bought them from do pre assemble ones too which you just need to stick down. It's tempting but I won't buy them as I'm still trying to go through what I already have at home.

Anyway if you would like these 4 cards

Make My Day... In the Garden with Sarah Kay...

Today I really wanted to use my rubber stamps but when I sat down to use them my black ink was on its last legs but I thought it was just my rubber stamp that was being awkward so ruined a few projects which resulted in me giving up on that for now... I then remember that I wrote a letter this week and used my Sarah Kay stickers which a friend sent me (the same friend that sent me the album, Vera De Muis images and a million other items that you'll see me using from time to time). She has been so good to me and I appreciate it as I can make all these fun items with them.... The sticker left behind was the largest one and I was still thinking of how I'd use it.

I had no intention of making another greeting card but I did and here's what I came up with.....
Sarah Kay Greeting Card 002
I started with the background paper which I felt fitted in well with the polka dots and flowers in the sticker.
Sarah Kay Greeting Card 003Sarah Kay Greeting Card 004
I then added the doyle as it fitted in so well with the background paper. I used my pro marker to colour it in but now I regret not using 2 different colours.... quite possibly the green and a brown. Oh well it still looks great. It felt like there was something missing so added the punched flower, gem and iron on ribbon (which I've stuck down with double sided tape)
Sarah Kay Greeting Card 005 Sarah Kay Greeting Card 007
I really love polka dots but don't have any paper with smaller dots on so I used my hole punch to create the dots across the top. I still had one small sticker left which I used on the back of the envelope... I try to waste as little as possible even projects gone wrong can be used in some way.
Sarah Kay Greeting Card 006
A final close up of the sticker which I just love the detail of but also the relaxed pose of this girl. I backed her on to white card and stuck her down with sticky foam.

Remember you can always make suggestion of themes you'd like me to create around. I am in the process of braining storming one idea, I just can't seem to find those items that my brain is thinking about but I'm sure it will fall into place when the time is right.

Anyway if you'd like this item

Make My Day....Notice me....

I always say it but I really don't know where the days and time has gone, I've sat many times to sit and craft something but now have a million and one different projects on the go that I need to complete so that I can offer them to you to take....
Tatty Teddy 004

Are you a fan of these cute little bears? Over the years I've received quite a few as gifts but I'm most impressed with their images so when I came across a whole box of rubber stamps at the store I had to have some... I only bought 2 but its so tempting to buy the others... I won't though as you can only use them so much!

I had the image of a notice board in my mind so I bought some cork especially for it. The background  I used ribbon to create a fabric style notice board which I left some of it raised so that you can put some words of your choice on the front. Then I used the cork to make a cork board style notice board... as a pin I used an eyelet even though I have tonnes of brads.

For colouring in the image I used distress ink on the background and pro markers to colour in. I'm quite disappointed with my pro markers as they are too wet and even though I use a permanent based ink it smugdes so I'm going to keep an eye for a different ink incase its that.

This time I tried to keep it simple but that space at the top is irritating me so it may end up slightly different, I'll see. This uses the same things as the one above but I've added in buttons and a brad.

Make My Day..... Sunset and Dance Nights....

I've had this card sitting on my desk for about 2 weeks now waiting to be completed as I only managed to get as far as the iris folding which I was inspired to do as I was working on the previous cards.
Its all fun 001
The Iris folding is the part in the middle... which has ended up completely lost in the background I know.... I've no idea when this card got so fussy....
Its all fun 004
I love working with vases so added this vase and wire ribbon that I bought a long time ago...
Its all fun 002
This side was looking a little empty compared to the rest so I added my lines....
Its all fun 005
I finished it with the words 'I'm so sorry' which was a request and added the buttons.... yes I know super fussy. I do have an idea for something to do with forgiveness but I just haven't had the time to get that idea into reality yet so hopefully I will do at some point this year.

This next card I've actually had on my desk longer then the one above, it just wasn't coming together so I left it until my brain would register what exactly to do with it so I hope you like it what I've done.
Its all fun 006
The image was too big for the card that came with it so I used plain white card, decorated it with backing paper, stuck on the dancer and cut around her.
Its all fun 007
I then added the ribbon, poppy and buttons....
Its all fun 013
and used pealised paper and beaded ribbon wire on the inside. I only had this gold one left so ended up using the silver on the first one and the gold one on this even though gold did suit the first one.... oh well!

Make My Day...Wishing Spring was in the Air...

I think I have a craft supply eating monster in my room... no not me! I'm serious, every time I put something down and look for it I can't find it and I've got about 2 strands of hair left on my head... of course I woke up this morning to find those so called missing items so I guess the monster coughed them up. Now I need it to cough up my nieces cooking set that I bought her but nope not for the pair of us to cook with but so I can use her rolling pin on my fimo that I had hoped to craft with for today... grr... please turn up soon where ever you are.

I want to say thank you to all of you so far who have claimed my items as you've got my craft juices flowing again which is a good thing but also a bad thing in that I now keep seeing craft things that I supposedly need. In many cases I haven't bought anything (yeah!) but in some I have (oops!).... one of the things I did buy yesterday was some decoupage craft sheets. I've always loved decoupage but found them such a pain to cut out so I could seriously kiss the guy/girl who invented the pre cut stuff... it makes life much more simple. The problem with the other not precut sheets was that they were the most ridiculous designs with little strands of hair to cut around or the the streams of a flower were just straight lines... I'll stop waffling and show you what you can shout make my day for....
Yellow Roses 001

This sheet gives you the chance to make 2 cards so I made the other one too to show you what you can do with exactly the same equipement but in a different style. This one I did make first but decided to give you the chance to receive the one above. I'll send this one to a friend whose birthday I forgot... terrible I know!
Yellow Roses 002
This is probably the typical style someone else would have done this but they would have maybe have added the greeting card underneath the picture.

This is now on its way to a child on
