~Make My Day Birthday Bash 1~ I Love To Be Within Nature~

On Monday I went to a store near my house with a craft section and came across the Tulip Essential Range which I absolutely loved... I almost bought the mini version of these premade but they were small and not worth the price but I really liked them so in the end I decided to buy this set as my Forever Friends one was the same thing and it was definately worth the money.

It was a pain messing around with all the foam but I love how they turned out and almost gave them away without doing anything to them but I had to and this is what I came up with....

Tulip Cards
I've used origami paper as these images have such an oriental feel to them, ribbon, mulberry paper, gems and buttons. I had to keep it simple as they images are quite big and if I did more to it they would have been lost.

Make My Day~ Forever Friends Bears~

I wanted to craft last night, I had so many ideas but didn't want to do them... in the end I was going through my box of images and came across these pre-cut decoupage images which you have to assemble yourself. The paper used in the background came with the images....

I decided to keep it simple and used
a pack of blank greeting cards with matching envelopes
plastic ribbons
buttons
Looking Good
This is the only card that I added flowers too as it felt like something was missing and the poor bear looked lonely instead of glamourous.

Diamonds are forever
All of the rest of them only used what I listed above, I hope that it gives you a little inspiration in that you don't need tonnes of supplies to make some great cards. My Christmas cards were done in a similar way in that I limited myself in what I used. The images were definately a great buy for me but now the store that I bought them from do pre assemble ones too which you just need to stick down. It's tempting but I won't buy them as I'm still trying to go through what I already have at home.

Anyway if you would like these 4 cards
just shout

Make My Day....Vintage Love Letter....

I absolutely love altering items and used to do it a lot but for some reason I haven't had the chance to do it in maybe a year or so but today I decided to change all that by altering this lovely yellow album a friend sent me along time ago after she saw what I did with the first one she sent me...

I've added the image of the album I altered in here too so that you can see what I did last time as this time I've done something a little different but not too different as I've used the same style of images.

I started by covering the album in some handmade paper (not handmade by me though).

I hadn't intended to use these photos but then I decided even though its a photo album it will be great to store postcards in too. So when I started looking through my images these were the only ones that fit in. This then meant I had to use background paper with writing on and everything else fell into place.

I started with using distress inks, chalk and coloured pen on the doyle, I cut it in half and used one on each end. I stuck the images down and used one of my pre-cut decoupage flowers which I just loved.

The charm was a must to start with because when I created my tatty teddy cards I had wanted to use a charm but none fit in with what they represented... this for some reason was still on my desk when I sat down and it fit in nicely whether you use it for photos or postcards.

I then finished it off with postage marks but I really need to look into getting a pack of different postmarks because this ones only for Paris and it doesn't really fit in since the writings all in English. I don't have a problem with it though as people in Paris write English also.

I'm not so keen on these collage images but I take so many photos that I want to use all of them even though I still didn't manage it as I can't work out picnik just yet... I'll be using it more often though in order not to overflow you with images. Heres a link to the flickr album with close up photos of this item.

Make My Day...Vintage America Greeting Card....

This isn't at all what I'd intended to post this weekend but the project I had been working on isn't complete yet so I'll offer those next week.

This week though I'm offering you this super pinky Vintage Greeting Card, if you're into Deco's I can turn this in to one for you. I won't chatter so much today as its such a basic card....

Make My Day...Wishing Spring was in the Air...

I think I have a craft supply eating monster in my room... no not me! I'm serious, every time I put something down and look for it I can't find it and I've got about 2 strands of hair left on my head... of course I woke up this morning to find those so called missing items so I guess the monster coughed them up. Now I need it to cough up my nieces cooking set that I bought her but nope not for the pair of us to cook with but so I can use her rolling pin on my fimo that I had hoped to craft with for today... grr... please turn up soon where ever you are.

I want to say thank you to all of you so far who have claimed my items as you've got my craft juices flowing again which is a good thing but also a bad thing in that I now keep seeing craft things that I supposedly need. In many cases I haven't bought anything (yeah!) but in some I have (oops!).... one of the things I did buy yesterday was some decoupage craft sheets. I've always loved decoupage but found them such a pain to cut out so I could seriously kiss the guy/girl who invented the pre cut stuff... it makes life much more simple. The problem with the other not precut sheets was that they were the most ridiculous designs with little strands of hair to cut around or the the streams of a flower were just straight lines... I'll stop waffling and show you what you can shout make my day for....

This sheet gives you the chance to make 2 cards so I made the other one too to show you what you can do with exactly the same equipement but in a different style. This one I did make first but decided to give you the chance to receive the one above. I'll send this one to a friend whose birthday I forgot... terrible I know!

This is probably the typical style someone else would have done this but they would have maybe have added the greeting card underneath the picture.
