~Make My Day~ Travelling Bear Bookmarks~

bear bookmarks
I've been as busy as a bee today, crafting and it felt so good.
I made these bookmarks but I'm not sure yet if I'll add some ribbon to it or not
What do you think?
I decided on the back to write a quote about books to fit in with bookmarks
and hopefully next week I'll finally get around to using the lovely quotes that you shared with me.
I won't promise anything as I seem to be lacking time in the crafting department as you'll have noticed lately.
Still I've done something a little new with these as I've used actual stamps
which I've never done before
but also made use of my calligraphy pens
even though I'm not all that fantastic at it.
I really should look in to taking a course one day as I'd actually love bigger and bolder handwriting too and this could possibly help!

By the way
I have a new blog
why not check it out
I can't wait to see you there as that blog is more about me.

Anyway if you would like the wonderful bookmarks above
why not shout

in the comment section!

Make My Day ~Paper Dolls~

Today I wanted to do something simple, something I didn't have to think too hard about and just by chance I picked something up off my desk and saw some templates for paper dolls and I couldn't help making them....
Paper Doll
Paper Doll
It was fun to think of something different to do with them both but its a shame they don't have much of a face with features. I bought a rubber stamp once for it especially but the face was too big to fit in the space... maybe at some point I'll go in search of another.

You can use these as bookmarks or as a bit of decoration.

Make My Day ~Swing is my Thing~

I've always said that you can recommend themes and things for me to try and make but sometimes it means waiting a little while for me to get my thoughts together or to be able to actually find something to create the theme which is what happened in this situation when...
suggested I do a swing theme. I had so many ideas but I just couldn't get the supplies together but eventually everything fell into place and I created this...
Swing is my thing
After my 2 hoops projects I had this one left over looking for a home...
I then came across an ebay listing for musical paper finally and bought some...
also after many months of looking for a swing image I came across this one...
I printed it out,
it was too small
too blurred
what to do?
In the end I cut around the image,
drew around it on pearlised paper
stapled 3 different colours together in varies places
and cut around it again
and this is what I did with it!
I then added buttons,
wire and stars...
the wires horrible!
I really must keep an eye out for some that slight thicker
as my other gold one was much easier to work with.
I hope you like what the end result is.

Make My Day~Recipe for Love~

Hearts and Lace
Apparently Love involves
Lacey Silk Underwear
Good Music
and Sparkle
so what better things to craft with!

I bought a new gadget yesterday so had to use it
(I'll be crafting about said gadget on my other blog tomorrow)
I cut two hearts out and stitched them on top of each other
which is an idea I've seen but never tried and I think it looks good.
What do you think?
I had to do something different with the ribbon so came up with
the rippling idea but I don't know if I like it...

If you would like this card
why don't you shout

Make My Day....I think its called Love...

when you hear music, receive roses and can see stars.... or is that only in fairy tales! Hmm... where ever it maybe today its here for you to receive! Music and Roses
I bought some more craft paper last week and began working on this card straight away. Its a style I haven't tried before so it turned out to be quite a pain and took longer then expected but I hope you like the outcome :).

I decided to keep it simple in order not to lose the effect of that gorgeous velvety patterned paper that you can see.

What bits of paper I had left I used it on the inside of the card and created the 2 musical notes myself. I will when I get the chance make an envelope for this.
flowery stars...
I also bought some great packs of Lucky Stars papers so I couldn't help creating 50 stars for you to receive too. Lucky stars are meant to have a meaning behind them in the sense of love but in my case I just like making them.

So if you like these items
