Make My Day ~Moomins!~

I know I've neglected this little blog and my strawberries and buttercups one but I really have no excuse for why I have. I've got so many things to offer and even have their photos sitting on my phone screaming (almost) for me to do something with them.

 

In November I went with the children to a museum and came across these which I snapped up all that was there (only 3 packets!) to offer on here and then I never got around to it. I know how much people love the Moomins so hopefully these badges will be something that you'll like. I'm keeping a pack for myself which I hope at some point to use on some of my creations.

Make My Day ~It's a Robin Thing~

My sister took this photo and I decided to use it as I loved the frosty effect of it. We went shopping today and came across these 2 Christmas tree ornaments which we both loved. I really wanted to get some but I don't exchange Christmas/Birthday presents anymore so just admire things from afar. However whilst admiring these I thought of all of you as I know how much us snail mailers love anything to do with a British post box. My sister has agreed to keep all the bird house and robin ones for work and let me have all the postbox ones. So that means I have 4 to give away!

I bought this stationery set a while ago to offer on this blog but completely forgot about it until today when I was looking for something. So here I am offering you this cute stationery set which comes in a clear pencil case which can easily fit in to your handbag/school bag. The note book is lined.

As I was in a creative mood I've already packaged it and its waiting for one of you to claim it...

I just needed an excuse to reuse my moustache rubber stamp that I made, I just love it. However I will need to remake it once I get around to buying some more rubbers as I took a tiny chunk out of the moustache and that gap is annoying me. A little something to promote Movember too! Make My Day ~Distress Ink~

I have had these distress inks for a while and never seemed to use them as there are after all only so many varieties of brown a person can use. So I decided to share them with someone on here who thinks they have use for them, they are great for making paper look old. I can split them up too as after all even for you there are so many browns you can have. I already have the vintage photo and its great.

Make My Day ~Loose Stationery Sheets #3~

I know I said I wanted to have more handmade things on my blog but I don't feel up to it which has resulted in this blog being some what abandoned this year. I want to get it more active so I guess I'll offer what ever I can when I can and theres always next year for a complete handmade burst.

 

As I've often mentioned I write long letters and have quite a few sheets left at the end of each set. I could of course use them by putting them all together and writing on them but I'd much rather open a new pack of paper and offer the loose sheets to one of you on my blog to use.

 

As an added bonus I'm going to include all the envelope and some of the stickers to these sets as I don't tend to use either.

Make My Day ~Michael Powell Rubber Stamp~

 

Over a year ago I spotted the whole Michael Powell range in the shop and was totally in love with it. When I first got in to crafting I used to buy things as I came across them as they were such a rare thing in those days. Now I look at those things and wonder why as they really aren't to my taste at all but are shoved in to some corner somewhere. In reality I need to buy a house in order to sort through what I want to keep and give away as between household items, snail mail supplies and craft supplies my bedroom is something I don't peer too closely at as everything begins to cave in due to the amount I've accumulated. In some cases I know I've forgotten things due to them being stored in a box somewhere.

 

Well its come to a point where we have quite a few craft sections in shops and one craft shop that I know of. For me though the bonus is having a store partically on my door step that has a well stocked craft section. So now as I need things I will go and buy them rather then buy them and have them sitting around. As I mentioned I loved the Michael Powell Range but I knew I wouldn't use a lot of them items so just admired them, fell in love all over again and walked away... sigh! However when I went this week I noticed these rubber stamps sat in the sale section and couldn't help but snap two up to offer on the blog as I had planned to make and offer something every week of my holidays on here but life just happens sometimes unfortunately.

I haven't at all forgotten this little blog of mine, its just this year I have been so unwell that I haven't had the motivation to come this way and offer you a little something. Make My Day ~English Breakfast~

I know things have been quiet here but part of the reason was that the last 3 items I blogged about people never bothered to get in touch with their addresses... I offered them up again but even that person didn't get in touch with their address... its really off putting offering items when people can't be bothered replying to my e-mails or reading comments on their blog. Its ok for me to send an item a week as I don't write to many people so the postage doesn't feel bad but to send 3 items at once makes it feel like I've spent a fortune at the post office and throws my good will out of the window...

 

I had not planned on posting anything until the new year but my mum bought a tea set with 2 cups from the supermarket and with it she got a pack of biscuits and a tea bag box with each item. The biscuits soon went but I kept the tea bags for one of you tea lovers.... especially English Tea! I have 2 boxes to give away (so three people will get one). I will flatten the boxes to make it easier to post.

Make My Day ~Alice in Wonderland Letter Set~

Today I decided to choose an Alice in Wonderland letter set to write a letter on, I searched through my collection for all the letter sets that I had in this range. It was such a surprise to find I had 2 of the same design but then I remembered one I bought and one I received as a gift. It then came to me that I could offer one to you and keep one to write on myself which of course is lucky for you. I have to admit it wasn't such a hard decision as even though I loved these sets on ordering them I am not so keen on the lack of designs on the actual paper.... ok so its great to have so many lines to write on but for such a great theme they are so plain and if I must say it a little boring which is probably why I haven't used these sets up much sooner. It took me quite some time to make my way through the one or two sets that I did use which probably put me off using the rest... Its nice though that I at least have matching stickers and tape to help me jazz these sheets up a little bit more as well as my coloured pens.

Make My Day~A Little Bonus for Some~

I know this blog has been super quiet this month but it was the Islamic month of Ramadan for most of it which resulted in me fasting and I felt somewhat deprived of my sleep that I couldn't really cope with being in front of a computer for long with my eyes being so sensitive.

 

I have still however managed to make some peoples days via Instagram (samash81) with these items that I'm showing you pictures of. One has been received and the other will be on its way soon.

 

As I mentioned in a previous post I want to go back to crafting which was the main idea of this blog and I have so many ideas. The first I'm going to do is something simple, its hard for me though as I am one who over indulges my item with too much fussiness. I hope to have that done and completed by Monday at least but lets see what the days and time bring since it seems to be whizzing past for me at the moment.

I've packed all recent make my day items and posted them on their way so keep your eyes wide open for them but don't be camping out in front of your mail boxes!

I'm hoping this is going to be the last of my make my day supply giveaways as I really want to pull this blog back to why I had originally started it. The reason was to make and send my items to loving homes and to give away some of the supplies I have at home that I'm finding I'm not really using or want to pass on so that I can get something else. That sort of all got knocked out of shape as I keep seeing cute things that I want you to have but the purpose was for me to only spend money on postage which actually sky rocketed this year to an all time high... what's new you're probably thinking as its the same everywhere.

For now I want you to have the chance to get this really cute Disney Nerds notebook and stationery set. The inside of the notebook isn't as exciting as the cover, it has pink lines and a tiny pink pair or glasses and I think a pen on each page.

Make My Day~Envelope Galore~

Here I am again and even though I have holidays I'm busy working on a few projects at the moment so haven't had a chance to craft for here. Hopefully I will by the weekend!

I mentioned a while back that I was going to offer these envelope but then I thought I'd be able to use them so decided to wait but in the end I decided to give one of you the chance to claim them and to make my own envelopes. Make My Day ~Postcards~

As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, I stumbled across our tourist and information centre which closed some time last year and I didn't know where it had gone. I mentioned that I'd buy some postcards of places in Bradford for you to have whether you're a collector or just like them.

The first and last photo are of our City Hall and City Park. Here's a little bit more about it on my other blog.... Strawberries and Buttercups. The middle postcard is of the Bradford Industrial Museum which is home to many varieties of olden day technology. I only remember going on a school trip for a whole day here and it was so cold it never encouraged me to go back. Still having a look at that postcard, its really quite tempting.

Make My Day ~A Treasure Cove~

So its another week and my super long weekend is over. We were told it was going to be -2 but thankfully during the day it was so nice that I could not take that opportunity and go out as we'd had rain and everything else for over a month now...

One of the things I did was go into the city as I needed to go to the bank and every time I go I have to go in to WHSmiths. I look at all their books but also their stationery as its always the most adorable as you can see above but unfortunately nothing is of use to me as they don't sell letters sets, I don't study and I can only write with certain pens plus how many pencil cases can one person have? As I'm really itching to buy something and people keep asking me where all these things are being sold as they want them, I decided I will purchase one thing for the lucky person that gets it. I will of course choose something of a reasonable size and weight but you may choose which theme you would like... I know its a tough one. There was also winnie the pooh, Paul Frank if you like any of them.

Also thanks everyone who told me a quote, I've printed those out and will see what I can come up with. Thanks also for the amazing turn out on the stationery, my letters are regular in arriving again so hopefully I'll have more stationery to offer you before the summer.

Make My Day ~Loose Stationery #2~

I thought I was insane anyway but I think I've officially lost the plot as I'm really enjoying photographing letter sets and its now another way to waste time that I didn't really have before but I can't stop now that I've started. My excuse now is that its another way to use my craft supplies rather then having them sit around waiting for me to do something with them.

Well anyway as I've had the opportunity the last month or so to write letters I've ended up with quite a lot of sheets that I'm unable to use due to writing long letters even though lately I've started mixing sets too even though they don't go all that well together... it just made me feel really ungrateful having 1-2 of each design left to give away even though I know you'll put them to good use of course in some cases I've just left a complete set of sheets as I'd love to be able to open new sets too. I have a rule for myself that I can only have 3 letter sets open at one time or otherwise its so tempting to open another packet for every new letter that I write.

I never ever use the envelopes of letter sets though due to when I first started using them Royal Mail machinery would stupidly send the letter back to me like I'd spend over £1 mailing a letter to myself! Usually I include those in with the stationery but this time I've decided to separate them and will offer those another time as I'm hoping next week to craft with it being a 3 days weekend! *smiles*

Make My Day~Rubber Stamp Alphabets~

I really love rubber stamps especially alphabets even though I find I don't use them enough.

When I went to the store yesterday and saw these I decided to get you a set to get creative with.

As you will have seen from my secret letters you don't need to have maufactured stationery in order for your letters to look great even though I must admit its quite addictive and I can't help buying it.

In the good old days I used to actually make my own and I hope there will come a time when I start to do that again but first I need to make a dent in my collection as well as stop buying it.

Thank you for taking part in the secret letter swap as the letters I received were great but also it was quite alot of fun to decorate them and I may do another swap like this in the summer. Two of those letters are now on their way to create some surprises to all involved since no one knows whose written the letter but also I decided to keep it a secret as to who is receiving it so both people will receive a surprise.

I do need your help once again though as I would love you to leave some

I haven't had chance again this weekend to craft.

The weather has just been so amazing that I spent it going out and about instead

as well as writing letters too.

Next weekend though should be a completely different thing as I will have holidays for two week
